Tea House Poetry, November 9, 2025 – Final Act

Today was bittersweet, yet beautiful in its own quiet way. It marked the final official event hosted by our co–poet laureates, π‘±π’‚π’„π’‚π’π’šπ’ π‘¬π’šπ’—π’π’π’π’† 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒏 π‘―π’†π’“π’“π’Žπ’‚π’π’, 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒂 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 π‘·π’π’†π’•π’“π’š 𝑢𝒑𝒆𝒏 π‘΄π’Šπ’„. The room was packedβ€”every seat claimed, every heart awakeβ€”as poets and storytellers shared pieces of themselves, offering powerful, tender, and deeply thought-provoking pieces. My poem was The Bitter Taste of Love and Pain.

These remarkable women have shaped our evenings with grace and intention. Their presence has been a lantern for so many of us, lighting the path where words meet courage. They will be profoundly missed.

Jacalyn and Kathleen, I offer my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support, your generosity of spirit, and the space you created for voices to rise. I will forever be grateful for your support and for sponsoring a poetry reading that allowed me to share my own poems with others. May your journeys ahead continue to bloom with success, inspiration, and joy. Your legacy will linger hereβ€”like the last warm teacup on an empty table, still holding the heat of community.
